Date: Tuesday, November 3, 2009
Time: 5:30pm–7:00pm
Location: 1-246
Description:
We'll quickly cover the alphabet and vowels and then move on to modern Israeli Hebrew - including early introduction of Hebrew terms (especially slang) to classroom interactions - focusing on gaining a solid overall grasp of the language and its cultural context and useful general conversation structure rather than on any particular set of vocabulary. There will be some written homework assigned each week to prepare you for extensive speaking and listening practice in class. You will complete the course with a solid understanding of basic grammatical concepts and written and spoken Hebrew.
