Description:
Maria Jesus Saenz is Professor at the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program (Zaragoza Logistics Center), Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics and Tenured Professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Zaragoza. Prof. Saenz leads the scmLAB (Supply Chain Management Laboratory www.zlc.edu.es/lab/scmlab), which provides a framework for companies to develop, analyze and discuss the boundary spanning processes of partnering in the supply chain. She received her Doctorate in Manufacturing and Design Engineering and her Master's in Industrial Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Prof. Saenz's research interests center on organizational learning in supply chain collaboration, supply chain key performance indicators and project oriented learning organizations. She has acted as the main coordinator in several international research projects in European Union Programs. She has also conducted different research and development projects for companies known by their excellence on supply chain innovation. She is a regular speaker at international conferences, co-author of several books on these subjects and has published a number of articles in relevant international journals.
