Latin American Studies

The Latin American Studies concentration is designed for students interested in the language, history, politics and culture of Latin America.

Concentration Requirements: Four subjects from the list below, including no more than two from a single discipline and no more than one focused on the Iberian Peninsula.  (Please note that a student may choose not to take a subject focused on the Iberian Peninsula.)  Also note that a minimum of three of the four subjects must be MIT subjects.  Students are encouraged to consult the Harvard Catalogue to broaden their choices.

A HASS Concentration may include only ONE (1) HASS-D that also counts toward the HASS-D Requirement.  You may include more than one only if the additional HASS-D class will NOT count as a HASS-D in your degree audit.
