Mlen-Too Wesley, a student in MIT’s Data, Economics, and Design of Policy (DEDP) master’s program, is committed to empowering Liberians through economic growth. Formerly a Liberian refugee who fled a civil war in his country when he was four, he now wants to return to his country and focus on international development.

Student resources

We support all students in becoming their whole selves at SHASS and at the Institute.

The Division of Student Life offers resources and activities to for undergraduate, graduate, and prospective students. They also connect students to LGBTQ+ services, women and gender services, and intercultural advocacy.

The Humanities Film Office maintains an extensive collection of videos from theatrical films, television shows, stage performance recordings, and other audiovisual materials. The collection is available for student research.

The Undergraduate Economics Association is a group of undergraduates interested in economics who meet for the purpose of supporting academic endeavors, improving employment opportunities, and extending networks with each other and the outside world.

The Institute Community and Equity Office (ICEO) offers diverse programming, groups, and resources to amplify MIT’s sense of community.
