The School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences 2026 Advanced Degree Ceremony will take place Thursday, May 28 at 12 p.m. in the MIT Schwarzman College of Computing (Building 45), 8th Floor.
Music Computation and Technology Graduate Program student Mariano Salcedo ’25 to deliver Advanced Degree Ceremony address
Mariano Salcedo ’25 will earn his master’s degree in Music Technology and Computation in May 2026. His research focuses on the intersection between self-organized systems and interactive music visuals. The Alex Rigopulos (1992) Fellow in Music Technology and Computation, Salcedo earned an SB in artificial intelligence and decision making from MIT in 2025.
The Music Technology and Computation Graduate Program is a collaboration between the Music and Theater Arts Section in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and the School of Engineering.

Mariano Salcedo is a student in the Graduate Program in Music Technology and Computation.
Student Resources
Participating advanced degree candidates in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences are eligible to receive up to four (4) guest tickets to the OneMIT Commencement Ceremony and four (4) guest tickets to the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Advanced Degree Ceremony. Tickets are electronic and will be released to participating candidates before the ceremony.
