“Chemistry is practical, complex, and interesting,” says alumna Madison Wang ’25, who double majored in chemistry and creative writing. “It’s about quantifying natural laws and understanding how reality works.”
Together, chemistry and creative writing can erase the artificial and arbitrary line separating one from the other and work in concert to tell a more complete story about the world, the ways in which we participate in building it, and how people and objects exist in and move through it.
