Stephanie Seed

Stephanie Seed is Associate Professor in the Literature Section at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is the author of “Empire of Letters: Writing in Roman Literature and Thought from Lucretius to Ovid” (Oxford, 2019) and numerous essays on the history of the book in Graeco-Roman antiquity and the classical tradition.
Seed earned a BA in Classics from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard University.
