For Boston’s Asian women, a mobile mammogram van has helped close a huge health equity gap

Sarah Akaaboune, Jessica Chomik-Morales, Mackenzie White, and Celina Zhao, students in MIT’s Graduate Program in Science Writing, produced a feature for GBH about a mobile mammogram program that’s closing a health equity gap for Asian women. “According to the 2023 Health of Boston report, Asian women are getting screened at rates on par with the citywide average of 77%,” the story notes.
