Hee-Jeong Jeong is a Senior Lecturer in Korean. She developed and leads the Korean language curriculum at MIT, teaching at all levels. She is actively involved in Korean language proficiency assessment, as an ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and Writing Proficiency Test (WPT) tester and rater, and apprentice trainer among other certifications.
“Hee-Jeong’s classroom presentations provide the grammar structures we learn. They include English translations, which are color coded and either bolded or highlighted according to the structures in Korean. This makes it easy to follow along. She includes references with videos specific to each structure. To care as much as she does is important because we want her to know that we appreciate her and her work.”
