Liam Hines, an undergraduate double major in nuclear engineering and philosophy and a current doctoral student in nuclear science and engineering, is conducting systems modeling of various reactor cores that include graphite, and simulating operations under long time spans. He wants to ensure nuclear reactor regulations and policy keep up with rapid shifts and advances in technology.
