Mlen-Too Wesley, a student in MIT’s Data, Economics, and Design of Policy (DEDP) master’s program, is committed to empowering Liberians through economic growth. Formerly a Liberian refugee who fled a civil war in his country when he was four, he now wants to return to his country and focus on international development. “Thanks to MIT, I have the knowledge and tools to tackle real-world challenges that traditional economic models often overlook,” he says.
