America is used to hiding its wars. Trump is doing the opposite.

A New York Times piece on American attitudes toward the Middle East conflict cites MIT political scientist Adam Berinsky’s book “In Time of War,” in which Berinsky describes the country’s attitudes toward war post-WWII. “[They] tracked politicians’ fights about the wars more than the events of the wars themselves,” according to Berinsky’s research.
