Colleges ban generative AI in writing classes. My classmates use it anyway.
Elena Kallestinova, a lecturer in MIT’s Comparative Media Studies/Writing program and director of the Institute’s Writing and Communication Center, spoke with The Boston Globe for a story on generative AI and its use in college writing courses. “Instructors do not police,” Kallestinova says. “We don’t have any control. We don’t have any leverage.”
