Illness is not a personal failure
Tom Levenson, a Professor of Science Writing in MIT’s Graduate Program in Science Writing, wrote a piece for Time Magazine on how people deal with illness. “The belief that to be sick is a personal failure has much broader consequences,” Levenson says in the piece.
