No more teachers: AI school pitched for Boston

MIT Comparative Media Studies/Writing professor and Teaching Systems Lab director Justin Reich spoke with The Boston Globe about a proposed AI-centered school – Alpha School – opening in Boston. “Schools are places where we create communities, where we have people learn what it means to be neighbors and to be citizens,” Reich says, “and to me, individual algorithmic optimization for test scores doesn’t fit into that super well.”
