Photos: MITHIC Annual Event
The gathering featured presentations from MIT faculty and researchers on a variety of projects.

The MIT Human Insight Collaborative (MITHIC), a presidential initiative launched in 2024, held its first Annual Event on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025. MITHIC’s mission is to elevate human-centered research and teaching and connect scholars in the humanities, arts, and social sciences with colleagues across the Institute.
Provost Anantha Chandrakasan and President Sally Kornbluth opened the event with welcoming remarks, followed by a keynote address from MIT Sloan School of Management Dean Richard M. Locke, who shared his vision for the school and discussed the future of management education.
An engaged audience of faculty, staff, and students heard presentations from MIT faculty and researchers on a variety of different projects MITHIC is supporting through its inaugural round of funding.
MITHIC held a second call for proposals earlier this fall, and will soon be announcing its next round of awarded projects.
