SHASS Undergraduate Fund

The goal of the SHASS Undergraduate Fund is to support undergraduate projects whose central focus is within the areas of study of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Awards will typically not exceed $500.

All current MIT undergraduates are eligible to apply. Applications must consist of:

  1. a paragraph describing the project,
  2. a paragraph describing how the funds would be used, and
  3. a letter of recommendation from a faculty member housed within the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.

Applications are reviewed once per semester. Fall applications are due on October 1; Spring applications are due on March 1.

All materials should be submitted to Chanh Phan.

Retroactive funding for expenses already incurred will not be considered.
