David Deveau performs on second tour of China — and at points west

Second tour of China
In September, 2010, David Deveau, Senior Lecturer in the Music section, made his second tour of China (the first was in 2004-5 when he performed in Beijing and Qingdao). This tour included solo recital performances in Shanghai at the Shanghai Theater Academy, and in halls in Suzhou and Hangzhou.

Mozart sonata collaboration in Boston
Here at home, Deveau has begun a collaboration, with Boston Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Malcolm Lowe, for a series of recitals devoted to the sonatas of Mozart.  The work will culminate in performances in the summer of 2011 at the Rockport Chamber Music Festival and at Tanglewood's Ozawa Hall.

Guest Soloist on the Left and Right Coasts
Deveau was also a featured guest soloist with the Boston Civic Symphony on November 14, 2010 at Jordan Hall in the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1.  He performed the concerto again on December 18, 2010 with the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra in California.
