What role do race and gender play in border conflicts? These are among the questions motivating the launch of The Borders Research Initiative in Women’s and Gender Studies, which holds its kickoff event, "Border Crossing: Citizenship, Race, Gender," October 12–13 at MIT’s Stata Center.
